Regenerative by design
Rotational grazing, living soil, and cover crops — farming that gives back more than it takes.
Blandford, Massachusetts
Lavender fields, orchard fruit, berries, and garden vegetables grown with regenerative care — raised with patience, priced for neighbors, and proudly served as the chili people drive across counties for.
Fed Up since 2005
In 2005 we were fed up — with farming run for profit instead of responsibility, with pesticides, hormones, and antibiotics, with animals treated like inventory and land treated like a commodity. So we did something simple: we bought a grass-fed cow from a regenerative farm in upstate New York and split it between the two of us.
We told friends. Friends told friends. Year after year, people who share the same care for the land — and the same appetite for good, healthy food — joined in. What began as one cow in 2005 has grown into a once-a-year pickup of 18 cows and 12 pigs, plus hundreds of pounds of burger and other cuts, all from the same farms and butcher we trust.
Now we're building our own farm in Blandford, Massachusetts, where regenerative practice is the whole point: healthy soil, healthy animals, healthy neighbors. It also gives us the room to grow — more pickups every year, and more neighbors at the table.

The Farm & Gardens
We're building the farm we've talked about for twenty years — a place to practice regenerative farming the way we believe it should be done: soil built up rather than worn down, animals raised outdoors on grass, and gardens tended with environmentally responsible care.
We've been avid gardeners our whole lives. The plan is simple and stubborn: supply our community with affordable, high-quality food, grown right here, while leaving every acre better than we found it.

Vegetable rows we've tended for decades, now scaled to feed the neighborhood.
One day soon, we'll reopen Alice's Restaurant in Stockbridge with our own meat and locally grown food on the menu.

Signature Craft
ProstTree Farms Chili has won multiple chili contests — and it's no accident. It starts with beef from animals we know were raised right, slow-simmered with care, and finished with whatever the season inspires. Lately that means something special:
And the classic way to eat ProstTree Farms Chili? Piled over crispy nachos with a fried egg over easy and a blanket of shredded cheddar — melty, cheesy, perfection. Grass-fed beef, fresh vegetables, sweet and spicy, every time.
Beer-infused ProstTree Farms Chili releases, made with local breweries.
We partner with breweries in our own backyard for limited release batches — their craft in our pot. Here's the secret: the chili doesn't taste like beer. Instead, the brew brings out earthy flavors already living in the pot, so each collab tastes different — shaped by the character of the brewery behind it. Each release sells out to restaurants and folks in the know.
With a local Berkshire brewery
Our classic grass-fed chili slow-simmered with a malty local amber. Caramel sweetness, gentle heat, deep beefy finish.
Limited release
A dark, roasty pour from a neighborhood brewery stirred into the pot mid-simmer. Rich, smoky, and built for cold nights.
Seasonal release
Hoppy bitterness cut with sweet tomato and slow-cooked beef. The batch that surprised everyone — twice.
We supply local restaurants, breweries, shops, and organizations with our award-winning ProstTree Farms grass-fed beef chili — by the pot, by the case, or as a rotating special your regulars will ask for by name.
