Rotational grazing, living soil, cover crops — none of it is fancy, but it all adds up. Animals move across fresh pasture, fields rest and rebuild, and every season the land gives back more than it takes.

That's the whole point of Prost Tree Farm: healthy soil, healthy animals, healthy neighbors. We're building the farm we've talked about for twenty years, and doing it the way we believe farming should be done — soil built up rather than worn down, and animals raised outdoors on grass.

One day soon, we'll reopen Alice's Restaurant in Stockbridge — with our own meat and locally grown food on the menu. It's the dream that started all of this: a table where the food and the story come from the same place.

Until then, the work continues — more pasture, more gardens, more pickups every year, and more neighbors at the table.
